Director of the publishing house Latvijas Mediji

Latvijas Mediji is a publishing house that began its journey in 1999 with the novel Enija’s Braid by established Latvian author Vladimirs Kaijaks. Original Latvian literature is at the heart of our work, and over the years, we've built a strong catalogue of translated titles as well. Our books have been nominated for and received numerous awards and recognitions both in Latvia and internationally, including the Latvian Literature Annual Award, the “Golden Apple-tree” Book Art Competition, the European Union Prize for Literature, the International Jānis Baltvilks Prize, the IBBY Honour List, the “White Ravens” selection, and more. We are also proud to be recognized each year by the evaluators of the national reading promotion programme Children’s, Young Adults’, and Parents’ Jury.
Latvijas Mediji publishes a wide range of titles: original and translated fiction, historical and documentary works, practical guides, annuals, calendars, and children’s books. Each year, we publish over 100 new titles for readers of all ages.
